The Variables Affecting the Outcome of Major Psychoses
Lee Sung-Pil

Kim Chong-Eun
Abstract
In order to identify the variables affecting the outcome of schizophrenia and affective disorders, 70 schizophrenics and 66 affective disorder patients were studied in terms of their delusions, durations of illness, stressors prior to admission, Q.P.D. treatment, and previous admission. This study suggested that the presence of Schneiderian First Rank Symptoms, the longer duration of illness, no .or mild stressors, and history of repeated admission are negatively related with the favourable outcome.
